This Privacy Policy explains how Speakify ("we", "us", the "app") handles information when you use the app. Speakify is a PDF and audiobook reader with read-aloud. You can use the app without creating an account.
Library & reading data: books you add (links or files you choose), reading progress, bookmarks, notes and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this content to our servers.
Usage analytics: we collect anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example app opens, opening a book, using read-aloud) to understand how the app is used and to improve it. These events are tied to a randomly generated identifier, not to your name or account.
Advertising data: to show ads we use Google AdMob, which may access device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads.
Purchases: when you subscribe, the transaction is processed by Apple and validated through RevenueCat to unlock your ad-free entitlement. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We use the information to operate and improve the app, remember your reading position and preferences, show and measure advertising, and manage subscriptions and ad-free access.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. On iOS we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission; if you allow tracking you may see personalized ads, otherwise you see non-personalized ads. In regions that require it, a consent form (UMP) governs ad personalization.
You can remove all ads at any time by subscribing to Speakify Premium.
We rely on the following providers, each with their own privacy policy: Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics), Google AdMob (advertising), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (App Store purchases). Please review their policies for details on how they process data.
Library and reading data remain on your device until you delete the content or uninstall the app. Analytics and advertising data are retained by the respective providers according to their policies.
Speakify is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
You can control ad tracking in your device settings, remove ads via Premium, and delete your local data by removing books or uninstalling the app. To ask about your data, contact us using the email below.
